What the site had to do

Jahn Housing & Support provides supported accommodation for homeless and vulnerable adults. The people who land on the site are in very different situations: someone who needs a place, a landlord with a property, a person who wants to help. The site had to be calm and easy to read, explain what the service is, and send each of them to the right page.

What was built

Atif Bashir built the site on WordPress.

• Seven pages. Home, About Us, Services, Landlords, Maintenance, Tenant Application and Contact Us, with a clear menu and a contact button always in view.
• A home page that explains the service. Who the service helps, what it offers (safe accommodation, support services, community integration), why people choose it, and how to get involved through donations, volunteering or partnerships.
• An online tenant application. A form on its own page, so an applicant can apply without phoning first.
• Photographs of the rooms and houses, so a person can see where they would be staying.
• Easy to use for everyone. A skip-to-content link, an accessibility menu on every page and readable type on a plain background.
• Contact details and social links in a bar at the top of every page.

How it was built

WordPress, with Elementor for the page layouts and WPForms for the application form, so the team at Jahn can edit the text and images themselves.

The site is live. We are not publishing traffic or enquiry figures here.
