About
Came to business development from computer science, by way of teaching, administration and data management. The useful part of that combination is being able to follow the technical conversation — a requirement tends to lose something when it passes through someone who cannot, and what it loses is usually found again halfway through the build.
The work itself is the unglamorous half of a project: the first conversation, gathering what is actually needed, writing it down, and keeping the coordination going through to delivery. It is also the half that decides whether what arrives resembles what was agreed.
